Full-grain leather Veldskoen shoes start out stiff but quickly stretch and soften. When you first try them on, they need to fit very tightly over the bridge of your foot. Within a few minutes of wear, they will stretch to fit comfortably. Wear them with socks the first 2-5 times to allow them to completely soften and take on the shape of your foot. Once worn in, Veldskoen can confidently be worn without socks. Our breathable leather is a natural deodorizer. 
Men choose M size and Women choose W sizing.

Hadeda

The Hadeda, often referred to as ‘Africa’s alarm clock’, is our loudest bird. We thought it fitting to pay tribute to it, with our loudest shoe colour. Fun fact! Hadedas, whose feathers appear mostly grey, have a hot pink stripe at the base of their beaks, and on their claws.

Can't get enough!

I have already told this to the Vellie team, but I am in love with these shoes! For whatever reason, they help my very problematic back and hips get into alignment and help me manage my near-constant pain. So, for me the love is practical as well as aesthetic. There was some damage on the first pair I received and the staff was amazingly responsive and I got a new pair pronto. The hot pink stands out beautifully against the deep sand color of the suede. I am a 9AA with a AAA heel, so the shoes aren't tight at all even in the beginning. The insoles are removable for orthotics, which only makes me love them more. Since I can't give them more than 5 stars, I just buy everything they make! Truly, I can't recommend them enough for style and substance.

Love the new color!

This is my 7th pair and I love them! Really like the new soles and the new hot pink color! I wear these daily teaching middle school and they are so comfortable!!! A must have!!!
